Rome for Christmas, 2013 (parts 1 & 2)

I was fortunate to spend the week before Christmas in Rome, Italy. The weather was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the people of the Eternal City were gracious and inviting. I also got the chance to try my new Panasonic GX-7 camera coupled with the new 12-32 pancake zoom lens. I’m very happy with the results, and this is a tiny package to tote along all day. Here are the results.

Part 2

Here are a few more images from my quick Christmas trip to Rome, Italy. Many were taken at the wonderful Campo de’ Fiori, where there is always much going on. As in Part 1, all images were taken with the Panasonic GX-7 and tiny 12-32 zoom.

The historic streets that surround the Roman Forum offer some grand vistas of this ancient site. Shot, of course, in Rome, Italy.

congratulations, you’ve captured the very mood, sacred and prophane, of the Eternal City

Fantastic. Your photos are always so good. Thanks for showing them. I must tell my husband about your new camera. I’m sure he’ll be interested. Less weight with still wonderful pictures. What’s not to like?!!

This is not a camera, this is excellent photographer.Every picture is outstanding.

    Well done, good work.

And you convinced me to look closer at the new tiny zoom. I’ve ordered it, to be on my “wide-angle body” when I have a long telezoom on my main camera.

I just can’t believe the progress they are making in making quality lenses smaller!

I use the 12-32mm lenses on my GX1 (I can’t afford yet the GX7) and I am always amazed at the quality of this little perfect walk around lens.
    Great pictures indeed.

Nice work. A few of the reviews said that there is noticeable distortion at the wide end. I’m not sure if I saw any.

Gear: Panny G5. I’m trying to replace the 14-42 v1 lens. I’m not sure if I’m going to go with the 20 prime, the Oly 9-18 or the 12-32 zoom.

Wonderful images! I was in Rome in November, and these brought back great memories of a very nice visit there.
